This skein was created as a test to see if I could dye a 24 stripe yarn because I really wanted to do an Advent skein this year. I was so happy it was possible and this skein was the first color way to be dyed as a 24 stripe. Hence the name, Experiment 24!
Please refer to my Yarn Bases page for complete yarn details.
All yarn is dyed with professional acid dyes. I wash the yarn with Eucalan wool wash until the water runs clear. Please be aware that you still may see some bleeding through the first few washings. Especially if you use warm/hot water.
I recommend washing your yarn in cool water using a very tiny amount of wool wash. Too much soap, even wool wash, can pull color. Lay flat when drying for optimal life span.
All self stripping yarns are dyed in sets, so there “may” be a slight variation between batches . I take all measures to avoid differences but after all, I am human, and science isn’t always perfect :) Also, different bases may take color differently and containers of the actual dye can vary from container to container.
Dyed and stored in a smoke free, pet friendly home.
