Order Cancellation Policy

We completely understand that plans change and minds do too! Order cancellations are accepted prior to shipment under the terms below.

Cancellation Options & Processing Fees

When canceling an unshipped order, you can choose between Store Credit (Gift Card) or a Refund to Original Payment:

  • Option 1: Store Credit (Gift Card) — Cancellation Fee Waived

    • Processing Fee: $0.00 (100% full refund issued as a digital gift card)

    • Your digital gift card code will be emailed directly to you once the cancellation is processed.

  • Option 2: Refund to Original Payment Method

    • 10% Processing Fee: Deducted from the total order amount. Payment gateways do not refund merchant transaction fees when an order is canceled, and this fee covers non-recoverable payment processing and administrative costs.

Based on a $38.50 product subtotal with $4.54 shipping ($43.04 total order):

Important Conditions

  • Pre-Shipment Only: Cancellations can only be processed before your package has shipped or a shipping label has been generated. Once an order ships, it must be handled through our Return & Refund Policy.

  • Pre-Orders & Clubs: Custom dye runs, pre-orders, and yarn club memberships cannot be canceled once yarn preparation or dye work has begun.

How to Request a Cancellation

To cancel an order, email karrie@freckledwhimsy.com as soon as possible with the subject line "Order Cancellation Request - [Your Order Number]" and include:

  • Your Full Name

  • Order Number

  • Your preferred refund method: Store Credit (Gift Card) or Original Payment (if selecting original payment, please confirm you agree to the 10% fee)

Once processed, you will receive a confirmation email with your gift card code or updated refund receipt.
